I’m sorry to say this but …….I’m afraid there is a slight problem with ……Excuse me but ….I want to complain about ……..I’m sorry to bother you, but…I think you might have forgotten to…

1.I’m so sorry, but this will never occur / happen again.

2. I’m sorry, we promise never to make the same mistake again.

3. I’m really sorry; we’ll do our utmost/best not to do the same mistake again.

1.Sorry there is nothing we can do about it.

2.I’m afraid, there isn’t much we can do about it.

Script 1:

Ben: I think book stores are outdated. In the near future, everyone will buy and read e-books online.

Charlotte: Hmmm..  I am not sure I agree with you. Paper books will always have its share of market. Some people like the touch and smell of paper books.

Ben: Have you considered that you can buy paper books online as well?

Charlotte: Yes, it’s true, but book stores have more value than displaying and selling books. They create communities for book lovers.

Ben: I respect your opinion, but going to book stores is inconvenient for most people.

Charlotte: That’s true, but we could look at it from another perspective.  If the government builds more book stores in the city, and makes them more accessible to the public, people will be more willing to go to books stores.

Ben: Yes, you have a point there. Building more book stores may also encourage people to read more as well.

1.I see your point; however, have you considered…

A good presentation should end with a closing that is as powerful as the beginning. Before you end a presentation, first, you need to give audience a signal that the end of your presentation is coming. You can say “now I will finalize with the conclusions” or “to sum up….” It also alerts the audience to pay attention.

As people will remember the end of your presentation best, it is a great opportunity to recap and emphasize your main message. At the end of your talk, it’s a good idea to summarize what you’ve spoken about, and help them to see how your ideas were connected.

If the purpose of your presentation is to persuade people to start to do something or change something, you could end it with a strong call-to-action, such as “begin the journey”,” vote today!” Your genuine enthusiasm is the most important element of a compelling conclusion. Your presentation has a purpose; let the purpose shine through in the conclusion of your presentation.

一句无聊的“that’s all I have to say.”
